Not good

We were hoping that Reba was preggers after Reuben and she got it together and she has been acting funny, stealing more food than normal, that type of thing. Today she was licking her bits a bit more energetically than normal and after a quick look we decided she needed a trip to the vet who pronounced Reba's tuppence (a lady dogs lady parts) was infected, well probably, not sure, maybe, but as she is not running a temperature we cant be sure type diagnosis. Not helpful. But if she has an infection at this early stage its likely that any pups would be reabsorbed and so not looking good for more clan members. Watch this space!

Bella is settling in to the "routine" at Rock HQ and it wasn't her that dug up the flower bed in front of the aviary. No. It was another Berner who looked just like her.
More news today on the repatriation of a class member of 2009, all we need to do is agree timetable and it would seem he will be on his way. Fingers crossed!

Yeah but its a dry heat!

Bella has landed!

We have been expecting Bella, from the class of 2010, to come to HQ for her holiday for a while now. In fact it featured in conversation this week, along the lines of not heard when Bella's coming have you? So it was a nice surprise that she arrived today. Actually we did get a bit of warning, Hayley her owner emailed a OMG I thought I had sent this email with dates in, argh here it is, but as ever there is always room for another Berner here at anytime. Bellas a lovely girl, currently she is telling the boys who is in charge, and its not them!

One step closer

Here's Reba, on the right, with the class of 2009, from the back WooZah, Spotty and Bliss. Rebas just been told that another of her kids has taken one step closer to coming back to HQ. She looks happy!

Keep in touch

 One of the joys of owning Berners is keeping in touch with all our pups, so we have from time to time heard from all of the pups raised at Rock HQ from the classes of 2009/10/11, some regularly, some once or twice a year.

 Through emails, letters, cards, pictures and visits we have been reassured by our choice of owners and the caring homes given to our pups. Today we heard that one of the class of 2009 has had a change of circumstance and so we are hoping to get him back to HQ soon. The Manx chapter of the Dolyhir clan has already been contacted for advice on transporting dogs long distances and hopefully we will make some logistical headway tomorrow.

Like we say to all our owners, keep in touch, and if you ever have any reason why you cannot give your Dolyhir Berner a forever home, let us know and we will make up an extra bed for them at Rock HQ.

Hot stuff

 Spotty helped me get our naughty pony back tonight.

 The complete change in the weather and increase in temperature made it hot work, Spotty took cover while I caught up.

 He also took advantage of the cold drinks left around.
