Photo call

I tried to get a picture of all 8 Berners today and failed spectacularly, so here from the back left to right are Reba, Rocky, Spotty, Lucy, Montana and Chester having a lie down at the front. Bliss and Dotty are playing chase on the hill.

Christmas Day!

A time when all Berner owners have too much to drink at lunch time and humiliate their dogs with party hats.

No room at the inn!

We have 8 Berners at Rock HQ today so there is not a lot of room for man or beast, especially when you see how much room two of them take up on the sofa. Here are Bliss and Reba in a suitably relaxed pose.

Tiny News

Last time we saw Tiny she looked like this. We have just received a Christmas card with a more recent photo and as soon as I learn how to use the scanner it will be posted here. She is now called Nala and looks a very healthy happy dog.

Black sheep!

Look at this big lad helping himself to an extra breakfast.
Rocky2 or Spot as he is now known has settled to farm life really well and just like his siblings and parents has found where there are tasty treats to be had around the yard.
Here he is sampling the Ryelands corn and hay. Not sure why he likes it so much but he made sure he got his share!

Snow fun!!

This is Fizz, Liz her owner has just e mailed this pic of her first encounter with the white stuff, she soon got used to it and was playing around like Berners do when in the snow. Fizz is coping better than our big softy Spotty (Rocky2) who was observed in our yard holding alternate paws up in the air as the ground was too cold for him. Fizz is a lovely healthy dog and its great to hear from the owners about their pups. The only one we have not heard from is Tiny, but as its Christmas we are expecting some news soon!

Dotty in the hay bales looking the picture of innocence. But look closely, there are so clues that she has been chasing chickens, mouthfuls of black feather type clues!

Holiday chums

This is HPD with a friend made on holiday. Berners are very sociable dogs, our five met up with a huge German Shepherd in the fog tonight and while the owners held their collective breath the dogs were all wagging tails and noses stuck in inappropriate places. They parted company without so much as a grrr.
