I dropped a large pot of cream tonight as I unloaded the shopping. The Berners enjoyed my mistake!

Harvey's Hols!
We recieved these lovely pictures and the e mail below from Harvey's very happy owners!
Hi Tony, Tracey and the Dolyhir pack,Just back from Harvey’s first holiday to Wales and thought I’d send you some pics for the website.Every single stranger in the street stopped us to ask what breed he was, age and name and commented on the size of his paws. It started to become a family joke about how much interest he received. I think I must have said “Bernese Mountain Dog, 4 months old, Harvey and yes he is going to be very big” around 500 times!!!He too is massively into chewing shoes and is turning out to be the biggest and most cuddly teddy bear!He made a friend on the holiday called Riley (a choc lab) who he played with loads. He didn’t like the sea much as the waves frightened him but loved to dig holes in the sandWe came everywhere with us and slept under the table at the local pub whilst we eat and drank – a total star!Anyway – keep away from the ittle soldiers, you’ll soon turn into an unsociable spod with a grey complexion, spots and no social skills whatsoever!!!Enjoy the picsMel, Danny, Abi and of course, Harveyxxxx

I need a drink!
We took Rocky and Reba up onto the ridge yesterday and they thoroughly enjoyed the chance to stretch their legs. The bracken is so high they disappeared from time to time amongst the greenery, occasionally they would jump up to get their bearings before breaking back out onto the track.
They also had their first outing to a pub where they sat very patiently whilst their owner and son ate lunch and drank more than their fair share of beer before heading back. Needless to say they were the star attraction of the pub, as usual I told interested folk that they were border collies.
Above you can see them getting a refreshing drink, a whole lot cheaper than the ones we had had earlier!

Happy owner
This is Tracey giving Bliss a hug. This was before she discovered that Bliss and Dotty had chewed nearly every step on our bespoke wooden staircase. Each one now is unique with bits missing and score marks from Berner teeth. Bless em!

Father and Daughter
Our dogs seem to have paired up, Reba and Dotty seem to be together most of the time and here we have Rocky and Bliss relaxing in the front room.

Party Animals
Some pictures of the Dolyhir Clan experiencing their first party at Rock HQ. A very patriotic Reba in the gazebo.
Dotty enjoying an enormous amount of fuss from Jill, dressed as an Archer.
Reba staking her claim on a bed at 3am.
Reba and Dotty, sharing, also showing how much the pups have grown in 16 weeks!

Stable Pixies!
One of the nice things about Berners is that they have such personalities, our four are all very different. This is Dotty, totally adorable obviously, a bit timid and she has got it in her head that the stable they are kept in while we are at work is full of scary pixies. So scarey in fact that she will do anything to avoid walking there unaided. Every morning she has to be carried from a hiding place to her mum and sister who are waiting patiently for her. This morning a new game evolved where she ran round and round the outside of the house until caught.
In fact she is probably right, there are stable pixies, or at least there are noises that she wont quite understand. The goats are currently one side and they make the most peculier noises. So until Dotty gets a bit braver I am sure these games will continue!

Rocky settles
This is Rocky sat on the settle, really he wants to be outside but it is pouring with rain and four big wet dogs in the house is best avoided!

Double trouble!
Dotty and Bliss paying attention for once as we try to master the basics of puppy training. Thank goodness Rock HQ has wooden or tiled floors as these two fail to conquer the technique of holding on until they get through the patio doors. Toilet training is going slow! Guaranteed whilst your attention is on one the other slopes off to the kitchen and has a crafty wee.

Swamp thing!
These two lovely clean puppies have taken to sitting in the pond. Currently they look nothing like this picture as they half coated in mud and pond slime. Bernese Mountain Dogs, best in the world!
