Six days and counting!

Six days to go before these noisy little tykes get to go to their forever homes. They are adorable and I shall miss them, but not the noise!

Belle of the ball!

Bella, aka known as Ribbon (in her past life before moving to her forever home)has returned to Rock HQ for a holiday. Typical Berner, fitted in straight away, drooled over the pups, ate vast quantities of Beef Wellington (not the usual feed for Berners but Cosmo the cat found the BW cooling and ate part of it so the dogs had the rest) and sat and pined for her owner Hayley. Pining involves sitting watching the cars. Meantime Bella is making herself at home and we are so pleased to be looking after such a lovely dog from the class of 2010. Especially as she looks so much like her big sis Bliss!(Bella above Bliss below)

We have 9 Berners here at HQ at the moment, Chester, Rocky's brother is on his holidays, as is their mother, Lucy.

A rogue plastic tonic bottle entered the arena thinking it would be an easy victory. It didn't reckon with the likes of Snuffie and Ringo who sorted it out. Don't mess with a Bernese, let that be a lesson to you plastic bottle fiend!

Ouch!

Mid air collisions are rare, but with seven adult Berners ripping around sometimes accidents happen, so you might be able to make out Spotty flying right to left as he lands after clearing the fence while going the other way was Reuben. Crunch!

North South divide

The Fab Four all have homes to go to, it was a hard decision but we decided against keeping one this time. Reba is still being super mum but its starting to hurt feeding them so she spends less time lay in the box and more time playing rough and tumbles with them. Its not unusual to find exhausted mum and pups littering the cottage. Here's mum with Snuffie by the fireplace.
There is a bit of a North South divide in the home allocation this year, Ringo is heading Devon way while his brother and sisters are all heading North.

Reba, our self appointed top dog, the matriarch of the clan, has a strange habit of sleeping at odd angles, her favourite place is wedged up against the back of the sofa looking like she is sitting up, running or jumping into the air.
