Work on the 2012 DBMD calendar has finished, clan fans can buy copies off us for £9.99 plus £1.50 postage. Get them quick as we only print a limited number. Its full of glossy pics of the clan like these here, Rocky and Reuben above where they got 1st and 2nd, Rocky went on to win best of breed and Reba below with two of the class of 2011.

Staying small

I have been lucky enough to get two new cameras this last week or so, one is a mighty Nikon D3100 DSLR (been after this since they made it) and a pocket version a Nikon S3100 which the nice man at the camera shop swapped for the Panasonic disaster that I have been using since Sept 2010. I am enjoying the DSLR but its massive and not suited to the point and shoot day to day stuff, hence the pocket compact.

And if the results from the pocket Nikon are anything to go by then the bigger version will give me some quality shots, once I learn how to use it and get the clan used to having to stay still while I point a big black thing at them.

Meantime these three were from today's point and shoot efforts. Not bad!

Hard to tell

Rocky spent the majority of the day sleeping on the pile of stone I was trying to convert into concrete. See www.talesfromtherock.com to see how he and Reba "assisted" in the mammoth task. Looking at him here its hard to tell he stole the remains of a beef chow mein and a whole bag of marshmallows last night. We only found out when we found the two pools of sick on the sofa. Bless him!

Didn't make it

We are putting together the Dolyhir Bernese Mountain Dog 2012 calendar so having to trawl through the 8000 or so photos taken since December 2010. Most are ok, some are excellent, others are lessons in how not to take photos. This is one of the ones in the discard pile, Bliss having jumped into the pig pen really wanting to jump back out again. Brave dogs these Bernese!
