Not long now and today we had nice surprise when the kind people from Wagg pet foods sent us a box of goodies for prizes!

10 June 2012. 1st Annual Dolyhir Bernese Mountain Dog treasure hunt and pig roast. All money raised goes to Hounds for Heros. Come and join the clan for a day.

Rocky went for a stroll up a proper mountain today

and on the way he met many people, some thought he was a big collie, others a Burmese, one a cross between a St Bernard and a Sheepdog. Depending on how we felt we put them right or agreed, a whole bus load of kiddies fell over themselves to be photographed patting the big doggie, one girl actually did fall and give herself a nose bleed.

Rocky took it all in his massive stride, eventually cooling off in in a drainage ditch.

In all I think he enjoyed our quick lunchtime adventure up Pen-y-Fan.

Here we go again!

Bliss is putting on weight, but is this for the right reasons or another phantom? Time will tell.

Not long until the treasure hunt and pig roast, if any one is coming if they could send an email to confirm.

June 10 2012 Rock HQ Treasure Hunt 12 Midday, prizes supplied by Wagg dog foods and Red Kite Fostering, money raised (£5 donation per adult) is going to Hounds for Hero's. Pig roast at 4pm. All Berners welcome, all non Berners welcome. Come and meet the clan, well most of them, some might be indoors while the main party is on, vast quantities of unguarded pork and seven hungry Berners! Remember the clan has 3 intact males here so any bitches in season might want to wear protection!

 Berners are working dogs? Well they like to watch others working, this the view behind me as I manfully crack on with the garden makeover, this time fencing.

 Berners also like posing for photos, although WooZah, left rear with her ADHD was distracted at the key moment.

Its not been good news for the latest clan members, Lucy had two lovely healthy boys, by c section but within 48 hours one had died and Lucy was desperately ill. It seems the c section may have given her an infection, her owner has been hand feeding her and nursing her back to health and at this time she seems ok and the pup, Toby, is a smasher.

One of us was working in the rain getting wet while one of us was using his brain and sitting in an almost 4x4 listening to Rush.

Bring me sunshine

Its the first of May so we would expect our clan to be bathed in sunshine like the picture here of Montana and Reuben. Today we had a different sort of rain to Aprils record breaking downpours, vertical instead of horizontal, so no sunbeams. This pic is from last November, weird weather isn't it!
