What a pantomime

This is our lovely Bliss, the phantom pregnancy queen. She also hates the V E T, C A R S, L E A D S, C O L L A R S and S T R A N G E R S. So getting her to wear her collar, walk on a lead to the car, leave car and get in a building full of strangers and vets was a major part of the morning. In actual fact she was well behaved and let the vet shave her tummy so we could see if she was pregnant.
Unless the pups are hiding behind her bladder or lurking above her liver we are pretty sure she is not pregnant. The oh yes she is oh no she isn't is settled. Her fear of cars is also cured, see the talesfromtherock site for a picture!

as did Bear having his first jaunt down the lane since his surgery, he looks a bit wide eyed (and legless) but this is due to hamfisted camera work not any mutation.

Guess who!!!?

How much does the lovely Berner the right look like her dad the Rockmeister? She is so like him that I thought this must have been a picture of him. This is in fact Truffles on the left, their owner Susan middle and Rocky Maia on the right. Maia is a pup from Sally and Rocky, sister of Star and Dallas who appeared on the pages a few days ago.

The V E T part deux

 Miranda was converted to an animal ambulance this morning to take Bear back to see the V E T. Once again he demonstrated two things, how well his leg is mending and how much he has in common with goldfish. Total lack of recall until through he doors of the Vets lair. Then he started the tremble mode and sat wild eyed watching for the escape route.

V E T was very happy with Bear, he is at the critical weight limit for this type of surgery, any heavier than 45 kg and metal work would have had to be employed and that would not have been so straightforward. As it is he is putting weight on it, has stopped taking painkillers so stopped hallucinating, and is about to start the the next stage of recovery which is lead walks. Jumping on sofas is not allowed, so the pic above is not him on the sofa. Ripley top top was vet checked and has had her boosters so is now able to go and socialise so the world had better look out!
