Sister Act II
Ribbon left us today and has gone to live in sunny Surrey with a lovely family, her principle carer is Hayley and she will not only have her hands full as in the pictures but Ribbon, now named Bella, is a bit of a handful at all times. She is the lead vocalist in the Bernese Mountain Dog choir, loving her own solos at 2.30 and 4.30 am. She is fearless to the point of stupidity, a feisty character who if human would have the personality type categorised as Bubbly, which can be code for annoying. She was the second born of this litter, and half the size of the others but she has made up for it by size of personality. We will miss all the pups, but Ribbon, now Bella, well we thought she was extra special and her absence will be noticed most of all. She will no doubt grow into a fantastic dog and we look forward to following her progress.

Sister Act!
Next to were Biffer and Pebbles. Now these two lucky pups have been bought by sisters, Alison and Louise, who arrived in matching cars! Well mow they have matching dogs to go with them. Louise in the white jacket has Pebbles, who is now called Heidi, while Alison has the biggest pup of the litter, Biffer. Not sure what he will be called yet, while they were here names ranged from Maximus, Gigantot and other huge sounding names. We hope to find out soon. Again the pups were content, Reba and Rocky got to say goodbye and while we were sorry to see them go we are looking forward to hearing how they get along, and looking forward to an uninterrupted nights sleep as the Bernese Mountain Dog Choir has been reduced! No more singalongs at half two in the morning! Bless them.
Lucky Harry
Harry was the first to meet his new family today, they were really pleased to see him and to every ones surprise he recognised them and was a very happy pup when they lifted him form the whelping box. Brian and Helen have visited a couple of times so he has had the chance to get used to the idea of his new family. It was sad to see him go but seeing the smiles on their faces made up for it.

Last night blues
We are getting ready to say goodbye to these super pups, tomorrow they go to their eager new owners, its a bit of a sad occasion ut on the other hand we are happy they are going to such nice new homes with people who will really care for them. Last chance for photos at Rock HQ and Harry rose to the occasion by posing for this excellent portrait.

Crash bang wallop
Poor Ribbon, depth perception is a skill puppies learn as they get older. Here Ribbon discovers gravity. Luckily she didn't hurt herself.
By this weekend four of the five pups will be leaving us so we are making the most of our chances for Berner cuddles. Hopefully the new owners are prepared, puppy proofed the house ready for the onslaught. Top tip, hide all electric cables from view. The number of computer leads and phone lines we have found with teeth marks!

So frustrating
Rocky met Elsa last night, a lovely lady Berner, and romance was in the air. Now Rocky tried every way to impress Elsa, including some ways that were physically impossible, but nothing happened and she stayed put. Sat on it. The poor lad wore himself out and today has been sat on the cold tile floor literally cooling off. He is feeling a bit frustrated, hopefully tomorrow when Elsa returns she help him out. It's tough being a stud.

Danger close
Berners are known for wanting to be involved with whatever their owners are doing.
I am used to finding at least one sat patiently watching me as I valiantly do battle with the Rock HQ jobs list.
But Rocky really does take the prize for Benrer sticking closest to his master as I chopped wood. He was almost holding the logs for me!

Cautiously brave!
Berners are described as cautiously brave by the books. Here we see Fizz, Liz's lovely Berner bravely tackling a plant pot in the garden. The way she runs tail between her legs and hides behind the table is priceless!
