Here's Lucy, and hopefully, all being well, she will be in the family way. Rocky has won her over, playing Barry White tunes and pandering to her every need. Lucy goes back to her home in west Wales on Monday and we look forward to hearing how she fares.

Show dog

Reuben's training as a show dog is going well, here we see him in pristine condition ready for the ring. If only he hadn't played king of the hill on the 10 ton of gravel in the yard.

Reuben and Biffer are having a great time together, heres Reuben keeping watch while Biffer attempts the world record for scoffing from an unguarded sack of dog biscuits!

The importance of seat covers

Never to be underestimated. Biffer and Reuben sneaked past the guards and jumped up on the sofa after a wallow in the pond. This is why 99.99% of the time we have covers on!

Biffers holiday naps

Biffer is back on his hols with us and he spends half of his time chasing or being chased by Reuben and the other half inspecting the inside of his eyelids. There are a few more Berners than usual here at Rock HQ, HPD is on the last day of his hols, Biffers here for another week and Lucy and Chester arrived with a carry case of bones for a week or so. We also have a rescue dog here called Rossa Bella, see www.talesfromtherock.com for her sad tale. Total tally of Berners is 11, which translates to zero chance of me sitting on a sofa.

This is Lucy, one of Rocky's admirers (harem) who is staying for a few days to see if she and Rocky get it on and extend the Dolyhir line into West Wales. She has made herself very at home, caught here rearranging the sofa to her liking.
We also have the Mighty Biffer, one of this years litter, back for a holiday. He and Reuben have hit it off and are currently playing chase in the garden. We call it a garden, its a building site and jungle at the moment.

Builders mate

Reuben kept a close eye on the wheelbarrow for me while we dug out the foundations. Using the pick axe was a nightmare while the Berners were trying to help.
