999 emergency

 Berners are not blessed with brains and Alfie pictured here on the left

 and here with his companion Spot has a few less brain cells than most

having eaten some socks which got all tangled inside his inside and had to be surgically removed. He managed to pass one after a lot of trouble which alerted his owner to the problem but he was very poorly by the time he got to the vet.
He was a very lucky pup to have survived this, a lovely Berner Berner lad called Drogba, from  Rocky and Sally's litter died after swallowing a rope chewy.
This morning we saw one of ours, Elf, pooh out a plastic bag, she must have robbed the bin. So Berner owners beware. Large dogs, large appetites but small brains.
