Where it all began

 This is Reba the clan matriarch and Rocky the clan grand dad, our first Berners and the reason why we now have so many of these great dogs at HQ and so many Dolyhir Berners across the country.

We were wondering why the phone hadn't rang today and then we found that Tasha had chewed the wire through.

She was a bit blatant about chewing the apprentice's wellies. She didn't want to give them back.

A Bridge too far

 Rebas not known for her love of water so it was a surprise today

 to see her forgo the safe dry crossing point, the bridge, and totally

 ignore the concrete ford jst a tail wag further along and instead wade across

to the beach where we were playing.

Medal time

Tasha (Ms Turquoise) gets the medal for bravery after her visit to the vet for her second jab as she did not even flinch when the needle went in. Then she sat there good as gold when the vet got a needle the size of a drain pipe and inserted the microchip in the back of her neck. Again in total silence. Brave girl.
Mind you she made up for it on the journey in and the journey out as she howled like a wounded banshee continuously. She also did a weapons grade dump on the journey in, sat in it and then used the aroma to clear the surgery.
But she still gets a medal for bravery.
And another for being cute.

Clan update

 The newest clan members all seem to have pretty similar hobbies even though they are miles apart, heres Bear (Ms Pink) having five minute peace.

 Belle does the usual, gardening in between meals,

 sleeping in between meals and

 looking cute between meals.

 Mr Bo Jangles (Mr Blue) enjoys gardening and has adopted a stone tortoise.

 Bruno (Mr Chinook) is taking over the house and moving it bit by bit into his bed.

 Misha (Ms White) has a lot of laughs with her partner in crime Gandalf.

While Oscar (Mr Green) enjoys all of the above and bird bath balancing. Oscar has also done another first and gained a nick name, all Berner's have them, Reuben the dad of these lovely pups is Reuben, Reubs, Boo, BooBoo, BooBooBear and Oiyaclumsygreatgit depending on what he is doing and what mood his owner is in. Anyway, Oscar has a nickname, Oscamps.

And there he was, gone

 The last of the new clan members departed from Rock HQ today, the mighty Mr Chinook has moved up north, way up north

 with his forever family Mr Neil and Ms Lucia

hard to imagine that these massive pups were 12 to 16 ounces in weight ten weeks ago. So Tasha is now all alone, as alone as a Berner pup can be with Reuben, Rocky, Spotty, Bear, Ripley, Reba, WooZah, Elf and Bliss rocking around the house.

We wish Mr Chinook, who is now Bruno, well and long and happy life and look forward to meeting him and his lovely owners at next years Treasure Hunt.
