Tonight we have completed our search for homes for the Heli Crew and the Reservoir Pups. Its been a long process, there being 14 pups and lots of families wanting to join the Dolyhir Clan, so for the last 3.5 weeks we have been having a fun time meeting lots of potential owners and through a combination of natural selection (the pups choosing their owner) and guidance, where we have chosen for the owner we were left with two pups at HQ, Mr Merlin and Ms Turquoise.
The families chosen by our pups are a lovely bunch of people who are a mix of first time Berner owners and old hands who have had the breed longer than us. Hopefully some of the 13 new families will return to the annual get together 2nd Sunday in June where the clan gathering raises money for Hounds for Heroes and eats lot of our pork.
Those good at math will realise that one pup is staying. Mr Merlin is going up north to bolster the northern contingent of the clan. Ms Turquoise is staying at HQ. It was a close run thing but everyone is happy and looking forward to 19 9 13 which is when the pups are going to their new homes.
